Melbourne Penguin Cruises - Bookings Essential!

Come along on a relaxing twilight cruise and see the Fairy Penguins return from the sea right on Melbourne's doorstep.  St Kilda is 5kms from Melbourne CBD and is one of Victoria's most densely populated suburbs, and a busy tourist destination.  Amazingly, a colony of Fairy Penguins have made St Kilda harbour their home!

Our cruise begins with passengers boarding at either: River Esplanade, Docklands in the heart of Melbourne or Gem Pier in Williamstown....

As we set sail aboard our 50' foot ocean cruiser the 'MV Penguin Xpress', you will be served a complimentary drink by our trained staff.  Passengers departing from Docklands will travel through the Port of Melbourne, taking in views of the ships in port and various other points of interest as we head to Williamstown.  Then we cruise into the bay while you take in the views of Melbourne's skyline at sunset.

Once the sun is down our little friends (the Fairy Penguin) will appear and head home to an elevated habitat ensuring up close viewing.  There are approximately 1000 penguins in this colony, so you are guaranteed to see a few.  Special lighting on the vessel will ensure that you have optimum viewing of these amazing creatures.

Our crew will satisfy your every need while at sea, providing you with educational commentary about the penguin colony at Sk Kilda and serving you delicious local nibbles to tantalise your taste buds.  Local beer, wine and soft drinks will also be availabe throughout the cruise at bar prices.

Once we are satisfied you have enjoyed your penguin viewing experience, we will cruise back to disembarking points.  On this return journey, while taking in the stunning sight of Melbourne's skyline by night, passengers will have the opportunity to purchase some special mementos of your time with us at Melbourne Penguin Cruises.
